company has capitalized its construction cost of 100mn for 50 years. But they have hold the payments from company amounting to 5mn saying they have not complete the construction properly. after 5 years of law suits company agrees to pay 1Mn as final settlements. I want to know what is the accounting treatment for the unpaid 4mn? do i have to impair? or dispose?
